Michael (Mike) Frank is a Louisville, Kentucky native, entrepreneur, veteran, and community leader dedicated to helping families achieve homeownership and financial success.
In 2003, Mike enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served four years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) as a Nuclear Conventional Mechanic. During his service, he was recognized for exemplary performance and leadership, earning a Letter of Commendation from Rear Admiral Goodwin in 2005.
Following his honorable discharge in 2007, Mike returned to Louisville and pursued a career in the skilled trades. He earned his Kentucky Electrical Certification through the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) apprenticeship program while simultaneously completing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sullivan University.
Although he valued his experience in the electrical industry, Mike's passion for real estate and helping others build wealth through homeownership led him to transition into mortgage lending in 2010. Today, as the owner of Homestretch Mortgage, he helps individuals and families navigate the home financing process while providing guidance on credit improvement, debt management, and long-term financial planning.
As a veteran entrepreneur, Mike has actively leveraged resources available through the U.S. Small Business Administration to grow his business. He participated in the SBA's Boots to Business program during his transition from military service and later completed the SBA THRIVE executive-level business development program designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential small businesses. He also worked closely with Kentucky Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) coach Rob Corrigan to develop his business plan and secure early-stage financing.
Mike's commitment to excellence in business and service has earned statewide recognition. In 2024, he was honored as the SBA Kentucky Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Kentucky Colonel commission.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mike remains deeply involved in the Louisville community. He volunteers with Blessings in a Backpack and has served on the Boards of Directors for the Mortgage Bankers Association of Louisville and Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana. He is also an active member of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors.
In 2025, Mike graduated from Focus Louisville through the Leadership Louisville Center, earning a Certificate of Achievement. The program, designed for leaders committed to making a difference in their communities, further strengthened his leadership skills and reinforced his commitment to servant leadership.
Mike and his wife, reside in Louisville's Crescent Hill neighborhood with their daughters. Through his business, community involvement, and commitment to service, Mike continues to make a positive impact on the lives of families throughout Kentucky.
